Upscale Spanish-Cuban tapas paired with artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards and cocktails. We stopped by for happy hour and tapas and had a wonderful experience. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Since it wasn't too busy, we were able to relax and enjoy a nice conversation. The fries were perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were expertly crafted and refreshing. Overall, it's a great spot to unwind, enjoy quality food and drinks, and spend time with friends. We'll definitely be back! 🍸✨

Went to a private event here on 4/28/26, absolutely 5/5 STARS!!! The owner made sure he walked around to check on everyone. His entire staff was on the ball, top-notch everything. As this was a private event, I will definitely go back and try when they’re open to the public. They are known for their craft cocktails and I would love to try some! The have both indoor and outdoor seating (on the rooftop). Very nice place for date night, after work with colleagues or a private event. Will be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vasco Sixty-One is hands down one of our favorite spots in downtown Lakeland! Whether it’s a weekday evening meeting up with coworkers or a fun weekend night out with friends, it never disappoints. The space itself is absolutely beautiful; upscale, vibrant, and truly something unique for Lakeland. The live music is always top tier and sets the perfect tone for the night. Pair that with incredible drinks (they know how to craft a cocktail!) and delicious food, and it’s the full package. The ambiance strikes that perfect balance of classy yet comfortable; you can dress up, unwind, and enjoy a lively atmosphere all at once. It’s such a gem in the heart of downtown and consistently delivers an experience that feels special every time. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

my absolute FAVORITE bar in Lakeland! Everything on the menu is so well crafted (the espresso martini is my personal favorite) and the service is impeccable. Vibes are great and the rooftop has a beautiful view of the park/downtown. Shoutout to Joe and all the other bartenders who always go above and beyond!

Our first visit was on Valentine’s Day. We decided to go out pretty last minute, so we were unable to get reservations at the restaurant. There is an entrance to the left hand side of the entrance to 1961. We didn’t notice it, but the restaurant hosts pointed it out. That entrance leads to a hallway with a hostess and elevator. When you enter the bar at the top of the elevator, there is no hostess and you seat yourself. Just a couple of observations (not complaints)…There is no sign stating to seat yourself so we waited until we saw a server to ask. I did not see a way to make reservations online for the bar, but saw reserved signs on tables. We arrived around 5, and there were still several seats/tables outside, seating inside was limited. We wanted to sit outside, so it was fine with us. The weather was gorgeous that night and provided the perfect natural touch to the atmosphere of the venue. There was music playing, but it wasn’t too loud. All of the food we tried was delicious! We both enjoyed the sliders, truffle/parm fries, and the best churros I’ve ever had! We even had a second round of sliders and fries. The drinks we tried were the fig Manhattan and the Whistle Pig. Bot
